Childhood Immunisation

Feeding into both national and local health initiatives for the Primary Health Network is a focus toward enhanced childhood immunisation rates and full completion of the National Childhood Immunisation Schedule. Since 2011, WentWest has facilitated its Immunisation Bike Competition, a region wide initiative encouraging childhood immunisation in partnership with local practices. The annual competition runs from October through to January each year.

Together with its partner, Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) WentWest supports the delivery of HealthOne in western Sydney. HealthOne aims to create a stronger and more efficient primary health care system by bringing general practice, primary and community health care services together. With a focus on at-risk children and families (together with people living with chronic and complex care needs). HealthOne operates across several sites within western Sydney including Mount Druitt, Blacktown/Doonside, the Hills, Parramatta/Merrylands and Auburn.
