It’s important to recognise that people get sick not only during traditional business hours, but at night time and on weekends also. As such, WentWest works in partnership with local health professionals and community organisations to see western Sydney residents access appropriate care at all hours.
As part of the WSPHN After Hours strategy, WentWest has established a number of initiatives designed to increase the availability of after hours services to residents living in the region. Among the services being promoted through Western Sydney After Hours is, Healthdirect, a 24-hour GP Support line alongside; general practices, home visiting GP services and local pharmacies.
