Whether consumer and community, health professionals or industry bodies, WentWest is committed to working in collaboration to create a more effective and efficient health care system within western Sydney.

Healthy Western Sydney

Partnership for Education, Evaluation and Research

In partnership with:

Stemming from a longstanding collaboration between WentWest and both Sydney and Western Sydney Universities, Partnership for Education, Evaluation and Research (PEER) shares a vision for quality general practice and primary care in western Sydney.
Peer provides a forum to advise on the development, implementation and evaluation of high quality primary health care and related education, teaching and research in western Sydney, supporting: Primary health care and health systems evolution; Delivery of education and training through partners organisations; identification of research opportunities and oversight of research and evaluation activities; identification of potential opportunities to increase collaboration; and where appropriate, integration of relevant partner activities.

Western Sydney Partners in Recovery

In partnership with:

Western Sydney Partners In Recovery (WSPIR) aims to support people who have severe and persistent mental illness with complex needs. The main focus is to help improve the quality of life of a person, allowing them to restore a sense of hope and social inclusion in the western Sydney community.
WSPIR work closely with the individual, their carers and families in order to achieve their recovery goals. The initiative is led by WentWest, working in partnership with Aftercare, WISE Employment, Uniting Recovery, Mission Australia and Flourish Australia. Find to find out more about WSPIR.

Health Consumers NSW

WentWest is committed to improving the voice of health consumers in the planning and delivery of health services across the region and does so in partnership with Health Consumers NSW (HCNSW). HCNSW is the state's peak health consumer organisation for representing consumers in shaping health policy and service delivery. As part of the formal partnership agreement, WentWest and HCNSW developed a partnership framework for engaging with consumers, click here to find out more.
